Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the floor console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  3. Remove the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  4. Remove the heater and air conditioning control. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Left Hand Drive) , Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Right Hand Drive) .
  5. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  6. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  7. Remove both instrument panel outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  8. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .

  10. Remove the steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  11. Remove the steering column nuts (1) and remove the steering column assembly from the bracket.

  13. Remove the instrument panel bolts (1) and the passenger airbag module bracket bolts (2).

  15. Disconnect the passenger airbag module electrical connector.
  16. Remove both front speakers. Refer to Radio Front Speaker Replacement .
  17. Remove the instrument panel defroster grille (1).
  18. Remove the instrument panel bolts (2).
  19. Remove the instrument panel screws (3).

  21. Remove the instrument panel screw (1) behind the instrument panel of driver side.
  22. Remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.
