Installation Procedure

  1. Install the suspension knuckle to the lower control arm ball joint stud. Refer to Rear Axle Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  2. Install the suspension knuckle ball joint stud to the upper control arm. Refer to Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement (Except RPO FE4)  or Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement (RPO FE4 (Z06)) .
  3. Install the spindle nut, washer and retainer. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .
  4. Install the outer tie rod end to the suspension knuckle. Refer to Tie Rod Replacement (Inner) .
  5. Install the brake rotor and caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement and Front Brake Rotor Replacement .

  7. Connect the wheel speed sensor harness connector.
  8. Connect the ESC position sensor link. Refer to Rear Position Sensor Replacement - Electronic Suspension .
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Perform a rear wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment .
