Installation Procedure
- Install the solenoid starter cable terminal (2) to the solenoid and tighten the fastener (1) to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in).
- Connect the starter solenoid cable connector (4) to the starter solenoid.
- Install the starter (3) into position on the engine block.
- Install the starter mounting fasteners (2, 3) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
- Install the starter solenoid cable fastener (1) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
- Using the transmission jack, lift the transmission into position.
- Install the transmission support. Refer to Transmission Support Replacement (RWD)Transmission Support Replacement (AWD) .
- Install the shift cable to the transmission. Refer to Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement .
- Install the propeller shaft. Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (LF3, LGX) .
- Install the starter heat shield. Refer to Starter Shield Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the left engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side (LF3) .
- Connect the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LF3) .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF3) .
- Connect the electrical connector to the heated oxygen sensor - bank 2 sensor 1.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
