Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2010 GMC Yukon XL, 2010 GMC Yukon, 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2010 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Position the rear floor panel exhaust heat shield to the studs and install the heat shield nuts and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

If the vehicle is a Suburban, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT or a Avalanche, position the exhaust heat shield to the studs and install the heat shield nuts, as required and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

If the vehicle is a Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon Denali, or a Escalade, position the exhaust heat shield to the studs and install the heat shield nuts, as required and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

Position the left front floor panel exhaust heat shield to the studs and install the heat shield nuts and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Install the muffler assembly, as required. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (With LC9, LMG, LY5 or L76) or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (With L92) or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (With LFA) or Exhaust Muffler Replacement (With LMG, LY2 or LY5) .
Install the catalytic converter, if necessary. Refer to one of the following:
- Catalytic Converter Replacement (with Exhaust Flange) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (with Exhaust Clamp)
- Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement
