Pressure Control Solenoid: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission oil pan and filter. See DRAINING & REFILLING  under LUBRICATION.
  2. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector (2) from the pressure control solenoid (1). See Fig 1.
  3. Using a small screwdriver or pick, remove the pressure control solenoid retainer from the control valve body. See Fig 2.
  4. Remove the pressure control solenoid (1) from the control valve body. See Fig 3.
  5. Remove the "O" ring seals (3-4) from the pressure control solenoid (1), ONLY if the "O" rings are cut or worn.
