System Check

- Use system check table as a guide to normal operation.
- Refer to system diagnosis for a list of symptoms and diagnostic steps.
- Perform the following actions with the cruise control switch on and the vehicle speed above 25 MPH. See SYSTEM CHECK TABLE .

| Momentarily Press The SET Switch In The Steering Wheel Center Pad. | Car Maintains Speed. Cruise Lights In The Instrument Panel Cluster. |
| With Foot Off The Accelerator, Hold SET Switch In. | Car Coasts To A Slower Speed. |
| Release The SET Switch. | Cruise Control Engages And Holds The Slower Speed, Provided That The New Speed Remains Above 25 MPH. |
| Press And Hold The Resume/Accelerate (R/A) Switch. | Car Accelerates. |
| Release The Resume/Accelerate (R/A) Switch | Car Holds New Higher Speed. |
| Tap The Brake Pedal | Car coasts |
| Press The Resume/Accelerate (R/A) Switch | Car Accelerates To The Speed Set Prior To The Brake Pedal Tap. |
| Tap SET Switch | Car Speed Decreases One Mph For Each Tap (Speed Can Be Decreased To 10 Mph Below Vehicle Speed. |
| Tap Resume/Accelerate (R/A) Switch | Car Speed Increases One Mph For Each Tap (Speed Can Be Increased To 10 Mph Over Actual Vehicle Speed. |
| Press The Cruise Switch Off Button In Right Switch Pod. | Cruise Control Releases To Manual Operation. |
