CAUTION: The torque sensor is integral to the steering gear input shaft assembly and is not a serviceable component. Do not loosen or remove the bolts on the plastic input shaft cover. Doing so could allow moisture to pass the seal and damage the torque sensor electronics causing loss of power assisted steering. 1	Steering Column Dash Outer Seal Procedure To install the steering column dash outer seal, align the slot in the seal with the raised section on the steering gear.
