Master Switch Assembly Operation

When the ignition switch is RUN, battery voltage is applied to the master switch assembly through circuit breaker 12 and PNK wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . When any of the UP switches in the master switch assembly are operated, battery voltage is applied to the power window motor through the DK BLU wires. The power window motor is grounded through the DN contact in the master switch assembly.

The motor runs to drive the window up. When any of the DN switches in the master switch assembly are operated, battery voltage is applied to the power window motor in the opposite direction through the BRN wires. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . The power window motor is grounded through the UP contact in the master switch assembly. The motor runs to drive the window down.

If the left front DN switch in the master switch assembly is pressed past the first detent, the window will travel to the full down position without holding the DN switch depressed.
