Infotainment System Display Mechanism, Removing And Installing: Installing

The new mechanism is supplied assembled.

-- The new mechanism, is disassembled for the installation, in the same way as the old mechanism. Refer to Removing .

• The sleeve -1- is installed in the left and right of the Infotainment system display

• The tab -arrow- must be present on both tabs -1- and engaged in the groove
• Do not damage/crush the tab -arrow-.

-- Grease the guides -1- and axles on the balance lever -2- with grease from the repair kit. Refer to the appropriate service information.

-- Place the Infotainment system display -1- on the axles on the mechanism balance lever -arrows-.

-- Install new lock washers -2- at the same time counter-hold the axles on the mechanism balance lever.

-- Push in the guide rods -1- from above opposite the direction of the -arrow- in the guides on the new mechanism and on the Infotainment system display.

-- At the same time guide the right guide rod according when pushing in on the lower empty display bearing.

-- Install the bolts -2- on both sides and tighten.

-- Slightly grease the guide rods -1- in the area of the display bearing with grease from the repair kit. Refer to the appropriate service information.

-- Thread the wiring harness -2- in the rear side of the cover -1- and route as shown.

-- Next clip in only the bracket -3- for the wiring harness -2- in the rear side of the cover -1-.

-- Connect and lock the connector -2-.

-- Clip in the new clamp -arrow- for the wiring harness -1-.

-- Position the rear side of the cover -1-.

-- Install the bolts -arrows- and tighten them.

-- Route the wiring harness -2- as shown.

-- Close and lock the clip -4- for the wiring harness -2-.

-- Position the collar -1-.

-- Install the expanding rivets -3-.

-- Install and tighten the bolts -2-.

-- Remove the Infotainment system display from the package.

-- Connect the removed display from the vehicle side connector.

-- Reset the Infotainment system display service position and check the Infotainment system display for function. Refer to INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM DISPLAY SERVICE POSITION .

-- Release and disconnect the vehicle side connector again.

-- Install the Infotainment system display. Refer to INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM DISPLAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
