Camshaft Position Sensor

Removing

-- Disconnect the electrical connector on the respective camshaft position sensor.

-- Remove the air filter lower section to remove the camshaft position sensor 3 -G300- on cylinder bank 1. Remove the lower section of the air filter. Refer to LOWER AIR FILTER HOUSING

-- Remove the coolant reservoir to remove the camshaft position sensor 4 -G301- on cylinder bank 2.

-- Disconnect the electrical connector to the engine coolant level warning switch -F66- on the bottom of the coolant reservoir and lay the reservoir aside with the coolant hoses -1 and 2- and -3- attached.

Installing

-- Replace the O-ring and lubricate it with clean engine oil.

-- Press the camshaft position sensor in carefully by hand.

-- Tighten the camshaft position sensor and connect the electrical connector.

-- Further installation is performed in reverse order.
