Overview - Selector Lever Cable
- Selector Lever Cable
- Do not bend.
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The selector lever cable must be replaced if the rubber grommet is damaged.
- Ball socket and ball head must be free of oil and grease.
- Make sure the rubber grommet for the selector lever cable is installed correctly inside the selector mechanism function unit lower section and seals correctly.
- Adjusting. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
- Clip
- Replace
- For the selector lever cable on the selector mechanism function unit.
- Bolt
- 13 Nm
- For adjusting the selector lever cable.
- Selector Lever Cable Bolts
- The plastic retaining spring on adjustment slide must lock the pins so that they cannot fall out.
- Adjustment Slide
- Selector Lever
- Ball socket and ball head must be free of oil and grease.
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Cable Mounting Bracket
- For selector lever cable.
- Bolt
Size depends on the version:
- M6: 9 Nm
- M8: 22 Nm
- For attaching the cable bracket to the transmission.
- Clip
- Replace
- For attaching the selector lever cable to the cable bracket.
- Bolt
Size depends on the version
- M6: 9 Nm
- M8: 22 Nm
- For attaching the cable bracket to the transmission.
-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- to 9 Nm.
