DTC P0461  : Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge Sending Unit) Circuit Range/Performance Problem

NOTE: 

• Because it requires 4.6 US gal (17.4 L) of driving without refueling to complete this diagnosis, DTC P0461 cannot be duplicated during this troubleshooting.
• DTC P0461 may be stored by the followings.
• • -

    Additional small amounts of refueling

  • -

    Fuel draining during repairs

  • -

    Constant cornering or driving on a sloping road for a certain period of time

• Before starting the inspection items, ask the customer if the vehicle has been repeatedly refilled with less than 1.3 US gal (5 L) at each refill. If yes, direct the customer on the proper refilling conditions in the How to Refuel section of the owner's manual.
