Hill Descent Control Switch (3/282) [2018-2022]: Description
The hill descent control switch is used to detect when the first gear is engaged in the gearbox and provide the information to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
The hill descent control switch is actuated mechanically by the gear control mechanism inside the gearbox. When the hill descent control switch is actuated the electrical switch inside is closed and a signal from the Engine Control Module (ECM) is grounded.
