Accessory Gateway Unit (AGU) (4/262) [2018-2022]: Description

The Accessory Gateway Unit (AGU) provides the television functionality in the Center Console Display (CCD) with additional television recording capability and a media streaming server function over Wi-Fi.

The Accessory Gateway Unit (AGU) uses the television antennas to receive television broadcasts. The television broadcast is forwarded to the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) via Ethernet or streamed over Wi-Fi to the passengers' mobile devices. The Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) presents the visual feed on the Center Console Display (CCD) and sends the audio feed via the Audio Control Module (AUD) to the sound speakers.

The Accessory Gateway Unit (AGU) can also input media from USB storage devices. This media can however only be streamed over Wi-Fi to mobile devices and is not possible to stream over the infotainment system via the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU).
