Transmission Oil Level - Checking: Filling

Fill up 300 ml.

NOTE:

Use a new seal.

Install the screw.

Torque: Oil filler plug, gearbox, 35Nm

Install the air filter housing. Refer to: AIR CLEANER HOUSING

Start the engine.

Read out the temperature of the gearbox oil: Diagnostics/Vehicle communication/Advanced/TCM/Parameter read out/Oil temperature

CAUTION:

Make sure that the component is at the specified temperature.

Set the vehicle to Drive mode, described in user mode. Refer to: USAGE MODE

Follow instructions for lifting points body frame. Refer to: JACKING POINTS BODY

Remove the screws.

Remove the clip.

Remove the marked part.

WARNING:

Hot fluid.

WARNING:

Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

CAUTION:

If transmission fluid escapes it is not an indication that the fluid level is correct.

Remove the screw.

CAUTION:

The fluid must be allowed to escape until a continuous flow changes into single drops.

NOTE:

Use a new seal.

Install the screw.

Torque: Oil level plug, transmission, 8Nm

NOTE:

It may be necessary to repeat this step, and the step before, several times.

Install the marked component.

Install the screws.

Install the clip(s).
