SLC (Stop Light Control)
SLC consists of two sub-functions:
BLC (Brake Light Control)
BLC reads the brake pedal angle and the pressure in the foot brake system to determine when the brake light should be activated.
EBL (Emergency Brake Light)
EBL operates at speeds above 50 km/h. The function is activated by heavy braking, by a deceleration above 6 m/s2 , or if the ABS is active and the master cylinder pressure is above 60 bar.
