Turbo Control Valve, WASTEGATE (8/200) [2019-2022]: Description

The turbo control valve, wastegate regulates the desired boost pressure of the turbo. By allowing a certain amount of exhaust gases to pass through the turbo without interacting with the turbine, the turbo control valve can control the boost pressure.

The turbo control valve, wastegate is a double functioning valve. The valve is split into a pneumatic and an electric part. The turbo control valve creates a near vacuum (pneumatic) that is proportional to its control signal (electric). The portion of exhaust gases that flow through the turbo can be determined by controlling the electric signal.

In the event of a power loss the wastegate valve will open.
