Engine Remote Start (ERS) Using VOLVO On Call [2019-2022]
SAFETY INFORMATION
Customer may by mistake activate Engine Remote start (ERS) via Volvo On Call while the vehicle is at a workshop, which could cause harm to the workshop personnel and vehicle.
Activating the ERS will start the vehicle meaning that consideration must be taken to rotating parts and exhaust gases.
It is important that vehicles with ERS are handled in a safe way both inside and outside the workshop.
HOW TO IDENTIFY VEHICLES WITH ERS
The function ERS via Volvo On Call, will be available as an option in vehicles with IHU/TEM 3G and Power transmission.

Turning off the ERS function can be done by doing any of the following:
- For vehicles with keyless entry, keep the key inside the vehicle.
- Keep one of the doors or the hood open.
- Put the gear selector lever into neutral.
- Disconnect the battery.
