Urea Pump Unit (6/234) [2019-2022]: Description

The urea pump unit is used to provide the urea injector, air cooled, with urea at the right pressure.

The urea pump unit has several internal components:

• Urea pump, which is a brushless pump motor. The motor speed is monitored with internal hall sensors.
• Filter element that protects the pump and the urea injector, air cooled, from particles. The filter is not replaceable.
• Urea pump sensor. A combined pressure and temperature sensor that measures the pressure and temperature of the urea on the outlet side of the pump.
• Combined level, quality and temperature sensor that measures the level, quality and temperature of the urea in the tank. Quality is determined by measuring the concentration of urea in the NOx reducing fluid.
• PTC heating elements that can thaw the urea in the tank during cold conditions.
