Transmission Control Module (TCM) (4/28) [2018-2021, TG-81SC]: Description

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) ensures optimal gear shift timing and lock-up engagement by processing signals from a number of sensors in the transmission and in the engine management system.

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is integrated in the same unit as the gear position sensor. The gear position sensor informs the control module about which gear position that is selected. The TCM forwards this information to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
