Description Of Component / Functions Activation

Injector
(1-6)
Injectors 1-6. The injectors open and close approximately 6 times per second. A clicking noise is heard from the injectors.
The engine must be switched off.
A/C RELAY A/C relay. Air conditioning A/C must be requested from the control panel. The air conditioning (A/C) relay and the magnetic clutch for the air conditioning (A/C) compressor click.
ENGINE COOLING FAN (FC) pulse width modulation (PWM) controlled 16-93 % The speed of the engine cooling fan (FC) changes depending on which activation is selected. The fan can be heard.
MIL LAMP Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). The engine must be running and the lamp off before activation. The lamp lights when the start button is pressed and goes out when the stop button is pressed.
LEAK DIAGNOSTIC UNIT, VALVE Certain markets only.
A clicking noise is heard from the valve in the leak diagnostic unit at activation.
CANISTER PURGE (CP) VALVE The EVAP canister purge valve opens and closes 5 times per second. The valve is activated by the start button and stopped using the stop button. The canister purge (CP) valve clicks.
COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULE There is a buzzing noise from the cooling fan for the control modules at activation.
THROTTLE UNIT 50-100 % The shutter in the throttle unit opens. The throttle unit opens to different positions depending on which activation is selected (50, 75 or 100 %) Read off "Throttle Position Sensor (TP) potentiometer 1" or "Throttle Position Sensor (TP) potentiometer 2" at activation to check the function. The engine must be switched off at activation.
TURBOCHARGER CONTROL VALVE There is a clicking noise from the turbocharger (TC) control valve at activation. The engine must be switched off at activation.
