Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Condition 

The central electronic module checks the signal from the left Xenon lamp.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-8F16 is stored in the central electrical module if the central electronic module registers too low a signal from the left Xenon lamp.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-8F16 can be detected when the ignition is on for at least 10 seconds and the battery voltage is > 10.5 volts.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
• The actuator motor in the xenon lamp housing has jammed
• Defective actuator motor in the xenon lamp housing.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The low beam is constantly lit
• The high beam is constantly lit
• The road surface is not illuminated.
• Headlights/Headlight aim is off
