Checking The Direction Indicator Shunt

• Ignition off.

  Check that the shunt for the left/right direction indicator is fitted correctly.

  At the same time check the connection:

  Diagnostic trouble code CEM-8F02 

  in particular 20/32 3

  Diagnostic trouble code CEM-8F03 

  in particular 20/34 3

  for a short circuit to ground as described in, see SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS or an open circuit as described in OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS .

  Additional information: 

  • To replace shunt:
    • For -2004, see: CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM), REPLACING .
    • For 2005-, see: CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM), REPLACING .

• YES 

  Refer to VERIFICATION 

• NO
