Checking Components And Wiring
Check the cable between combustion preheater module (CPM) terminal #12 and water pump terminal 1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
HINT: With the ignition on and the water pump connector disconnected, the voltage between water pump terminal 1 (control module side) and ground should be approximately 0 V.
The water pump must be replaced if no faults are found in the cable.
Remedy as necessary.
