Checking The Relay

• Ignition off.

  Check that relay 2/29 is installed correctly. At the same time check the relay connections, in particular 2/29 #2, for a short circuit to ground as described in, see SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, PERMANENT FAULTS . Also check the relay circuit for any open circuits, as described in OPEN-CIRCUIT, PERMANENT FAULTS .

    • For 2005-, see: CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM), REPLACING .
