Condition
The diagnostic trouble code only applies to vehicles equipped with DSTC.
The steering angle sensor module (SAS) is initialized by turning the steering wheel in either direction within 120 seconds of the vehicle being started. The brake control module (BCM) retrieves the signals from the steering angle sensor on the CAN network. Diagnostic trouble code BCM-C110787 is generated if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the steering angle sensor module (SAS) was not initiated within 120 seconds of starting and speed has exceeded approx. 10 km/h (6.2 mph).

Possible Source
- After start, the vehicle was given straight ahead for more than two minutes and then the ignition was turned off, thus there was no steering angle sensor module (SAS) initialization.
- Internal malfunction in steering angle sensor (SAS).
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning light on.
- The anti-skid function is not operational.
