Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information: Notes

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SWM-000E is stored if the control module registers that the switch for the washer and the switch for the rear washer are activated for more than 2.5 seconds at the same time. When the control module is active, continuous checks are made to determine whether the switches are activated at the same time.

Substitute Value 

• If the windshield wipers are in the active position, the wipers operate at low speed.

Possible Source 

• The switches for the front and rear washers are active for more than 2.5 seconds at the same time.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The wipers only operate at low speed.
