Checking The Wiring And Component
Check that the "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 is correctly installed.
Check the rear electronic module connector and relay terminal 2/82. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to CONTACT RESISTANCE AND OXIDATION . Check for loose connections according to LOOSE CONNECTIONS (TERMINALS) .
Check the cable between main fuse 11E/5 and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #5. Check the cable between main fuse 11D/5 and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #1. Check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #D1 (#B01) and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #2. Check these cables for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to SHORT-CIRCUIT TO GROUND, INTERMITTENT FAULTS . Check for an intermittent open-circuit according to OPEN-CIRCUIT, INTERMITTENT FAULTS .
