Checking The Ground Terminal: Notes

• Ignition off
• Connect the breakout box
• Switch off all equipment that takes power from the battery (for example, courtesy lighting, radio etc.).

  Check the resistance between the battery negative terminal and terminal #16 (#A16) and between the battery negative terminal and terminal #47 (#A47). The resistance must be 0 Ω.

  Check the ground terminal 1/1 (battery negative terminal) if the resistance is incorrect. Check for an open-circuit and contact resistance.

  Check the cable between ground terminal 31/80 (left-hand wheel arch) and terminals #16 (#A16) and #47 (#A47). Check for an open-circuit. Check for contact resistance.
