Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-A020

Condition 

To minimize the number of software versions, the vehicle configuration taken from the central electronic module (CEM) is used to configure the engine control module (ECM). The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) discovers that a parameter transmitted by the central electronic module (CEM) is incorrect.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on

Substitute Value 

• The default value for the incorrect parameter is set.

Possible Source 

• A control module or function has been removed from or added to the vehicle without correctly updating the vehicle configuration.
