Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-5100

Condition 

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the transmission control module (TCM) has transmitted a request to the central electronic module (CEM) to light the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.
