Checking Components And Wiring
Check the connector for the camshaft position (CMP) sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the signal cable. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Take readings between:
- Engine Control Module (ECM) #A59 (#A59) and camshaft sensor #3.
Check the power cable with regard to open circuit.
Take readings between:
- Engine Control Module (ECM) #A17 (#A17) and mass air flow sensor #1.
Remedy as necessary.
