The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that key position III has been activated for a long period of time.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed in key position III for more than 10 minutes.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to battery voltage in the signal cable from the ignition switch
• Ignition switch defective.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The starter motor continues slowly when the ignition key has been released.
