Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-2A10
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) checks whether there is a short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the preheating circuit for the center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). It also checks for an open-circuit or whether the heating resistor is faulty. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers any of these.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at ignition on and if the battery voltage is in the range 11-16 V.
Substitute Value
- Center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) preheating shut off.
Possible Source
Signal too low
- Damaged fuse.
- Open-circuit in the power cable
- Short-circuit to ground in the power cable
- Damaged center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Signal too high
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the power cable
- Damaged center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Faulty signal
- Contact resistance and/or oxidation in the terminals
- Damaged center heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
