Checking The Components And Wiring

Check the cable for a short-circuit to ground.

Check between:

• The system relay and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #3
• Engine control module (ECM) terminal #A73 (#B13) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) terminal #4.

Try a new heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) if the above fault-tracing does not remedy the fault.

Remedy as necessary.
