High Stalling Speed
The test conditions described in, see CHECK above, have been met. Is the acceleration time from 0-100 km/h normal?
If the stalling speed recorded exceeds the normal value by more than 300 RPM:
Check if the oil is discolored or smells burnt. See OIL GRADE, CHECKING (AW50/51 AWD; AW55-50/51SN)
If the oil is OK, replace the torque converter.
see TRANSMISSION - REMOVAL, REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION
Dirty oil indicates worn or burnt clutch plates. Replace the transmission.
see TRANSMISSION - REMOVAL, REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION
Check the stall speed again after replacing the transmission.
