Checking Components And Wiring

Check the signal cable for the microphone between phone module (PHM) connector B terminal #13 (#55) and handset connector terminal #1 (#21). Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Try replacing the carphone handset if no fault is found in the wiring.

Remedy as necessary.
