Body Sill Reinforcement: Installation

Installing the sill reinforcement 

For welding body components, see WELDING, GENERAL .

Apply welding primer.

For material information, see SHEET METAL, MATERIAL INFORMATION .

Check the alignment.

Weld as shown in the illustration.

Cut and weld the reinforcement according to "3  " and "4  " in Fig 2.

Install: 

• the sill. See: DOOR SILL 
• the B-post. See: B-POST 
• the rear fender. See: FENDER  .

Seal. See: BODY SEAL, SEALING DIAGRAM .

Install components, see SIDE SECTION, EXPOSING and REAR SECTION, EXPOSING (2006) ,REAR SECTION, EXPOSING (2007) , or REAR SECTION, EXPOSING (2008-2012) .
