Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the connector for the air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #B51 (#C51) and air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

Check the power cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #B31 (#C31) and air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor terminal #3. Check for an open-circuit.

HINT: The voltage must be approximately 5 V between air conditioning (A/C) pressure sensor terminal #3 and ground with the ignition switched on.

Remedy as necessary.
