Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information: Notes
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) checks the internal circuits for the 5 volt supply to the components.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the voltage in one of the circuits is too high, too low or missing.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

- None.
Possible Source
- Short-circuit to ground in the voltage cable.
- Voltage cable for sensor short-circuited to voltage.
- Damaged sensor.
- Damaged engine control module (ECM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Deterioration in performance
- The starter motor does not turn
- The starter motor turns but the engine does not start
- The engine misfires
- The engine is difficult to start.
