Condition

The engine control module (ECM) checks the control signal cable for the engine cooling fan (FC).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects a fault in the engine cooling fan (FC) module.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
• Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable
• Damaged engine cooling fan (FC) control module.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The engine cooling fan (FC) does not work.
