Checking The Component And Wiring

HINT: The fuel temperature sensor is integrated in the fuel pressure sensor. 

• Check the fuel pressure sensor connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

  Check the fuel pressure sensor between terminals #1 and #2 (sensor side). Check the resistance.

  Check signal cable for an open-circuit and short-circuit to supply voltage.

  Take readings between:

  • Engine Control Module (ECM) #A41 (#A41) and fuel pressure sensor #2.

  Check the ground lead. Check for an open-circuit.

  Take readings between:

  • Engine Control Module (ECM) #A15 (#A15) and fuel pressure sensor #1.

  Remedy as necessary.
