Checking The Intake System
Check the mass air flow (MAF) sensor connector. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the intake system for leakage. In particular, check the hoses and hose connectors between the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the throttle unit. Check for leakage and damage.
Check the inside of the throttle body (TB). Check for contamination. When the throttle body (TB) is contaminated, the air flow to the engine is impaired and diagnostic trouble code (DTCs) or fault symptoms can occur.
Clean the throttle body (TB) if needed.
If no fault is found, try a new mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
Remedy as necessary.
