Replacing The Component

The engine control module (ECM) has registered an internal fault.

If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can be caused by interference at start up of the engine control module (ECM) or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. Replace the engine control module (ECM) if the fault recurs.

Replace the engine control module (ECM) in the event of a permanent fault.

see ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM), REPLACING

Remedy as necessary.
