Inflatable Curtain Module: Removal

First read, see PREPARATION .

NOTE:

The hose clamp must not be opened under any circumstances. If the clamp is opened, it will not be possible to guarantee the safety of the joint. Leakage may result which would compromise the function.

Remove:

The headlining. See HEADLINING, REPLACING (2003-2008), or HEADLINING, REPLACING (2009-2012).

Remove:

the connector according to IGNITER WIRE CONNECTOR .

Remove:

clips D and G.
CAUTION:
First detach above the B-post panel.
the screw (3) and unhook the inflatable curtain module.

(6 and 7 are removed when removing the grab handle)

Remove:

clip C
screws 1, 2, 8 and 9. Lift out the inflatable curtain module
NOTE:
Ground terminal (1) must always be replaced.

(4 and 5 are removed when removing the grab handle)
