Intermittent Fault

Check the cable between control module terminal #12 and water pump terminal 1. Check for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage.

Remedy as necessary.

With the ignition on and the water pump connector disconnected, the voltage between water pump terminal 1 (control module side) and ground should be approximately 0 V
