Checking Components And Wiring

• Ignition off
• Disconnect connector C for the phone module (PHM).
• Disconnect connector A for the phone module (PHM).

  Check the cable for the telephone antenna for short-circuit to voltage.

  Check between:

  • connector A #5 (#5) and connector C #1
  • connector A #5 (#5) and connector C #2.

  Check the cable for the telephone antenna for open circuit.

  Measure on the antenna cable's connector between #1 and #2. The resistance for trouble-free antenna cable shall be approx. 10 kΩ.

  Check the connectors for loose connections, damaged or bent pins as well as oxidation.

  Remedy as necessary.
