Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-U043341

Condition 

The main task of the Closing velocity module (CVM) is to prevent or reduce collision damage at low speeds. The system is included in the City Safety function. The Closing velocity module (CVM) can request speed reducing actions by sending a specific request to other control units via the CAN network. The request about torque limiting can be sent to the Engine control module (ECM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The signal about requested speed reducing actions from the Closing velocity module (CVM) are implausible regarding frequency and duration.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Engine running for at least 3 seconds.
