ECM-P019126: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Range/Performance. General Signal Failures. Signal Rate Of Change Below Threshold (B6324S2; 2010): Fault-Tracing: Verification: Verification

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

• Ignition off
• Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
• Engine idling.

  Read off the signal from the fuel pressure sensor.

  Check that the signal is reasonable. Normal value is 480 ± 5 kPa at idle.

  Read off the signal from the fuel pressure sensor when the ignition is on and check that the fuel pressure has dropped. Normally, the pressure shall drop by approx. 100 kPa from the value at idle.

  NOTE:

  The signal indicates absolute pressure.

Is the signal reasonable? 

• YES 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
