Forward Looking Radar (FLR)
Forward Looking Radar (FLR) is connected to Forward Sensing Module (FSM). Information transfer between Forward Looking Radar (FLR) and Forward Sensing Module (FSM) takes place via local CAN-communication. Forward Looking Radar (FLR) is located in the front of the vehicle (behind the grill).
Forward Looking Radar (FLR) is only found in vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise control, collision warning, automatic braking/brake support, and distance control.
Forward Looking Radar (FLR) is used to identify and range targets (vehicles ahead) Forward Looking Radar (FLR) ranges both stationary, oncoming, as well as targets that move in the same direction as your own vehicle. When a target is detected Forward Looking Radar (FLR) senses the target's speed, distance, and angle to the target in relation to your own vehicle.
When replacing as well as downloading software of Forward Looking Radar (FLR), the new unit must be calibrated using the diagnostics tool.
Accessories or other objects such as auxiliary lights may not be installed in front of the grill.
